We are in Luang Prabang in Laos. Yesterday we rode out to a waterfall and it was spectacular. We have been to some waterfalls here, but this was definitely the best one yet. We rode about 42 miles, which is kind of a lot for my first long bike ride, but it was nice to go through the small villages and see things at a slower pace than a car. We paid 2000 kip to park our bikes (which is 20 cents- the money here is ridiculous, i should never have 1.5 million of anything) and walked up to the waterfall. We saw bears and a tiger (in cages of course) and met a really nice family from Laos but living in california for the past 30 years. They gave us some interesting insight to this country. On the way home, we stopped for pumpkin pie. A little late for Thanksgiving, but it was sooooo good.
