Happy Birthday to the King
December 5th is the king's birthday in Thailand, which is a big deal. Everyone gets together and wears bright yellow to show their support of the king, and EVERYONE loves the king. Ariel and I have even been sporting some yellow shirts. We went to the square for the celebrations and found a sea of yellow. Everywhere you look. Yellow. Bright, obnoxious yellow. We also found lots of interesting food. Basically, we wandered around trying random things, like crocodile. It really does taste like chicken. And there were fried bugs also. We didn't eat any of those... Most of the food was really good even though I had no idea what it was. On the whole, it was a really interesting experience.
